- Checking the home – task:
Now, let’s check – up your home – task. What was your home task for today?
Some pupils repeat last new words; others answer the questions.
- New lesson:
Let’s begin our lesson. Our new theme is “The Past Perfect Tense”. We are going to speak about Past Perfect Tense. We are going to act out dialogues, do the exercises, ask the answer the questions in order to enrich your vocabulary and develop speaking habits.
Past Perfect
Had + done (participle II)
- The affirmative sentence: I had done my home work.
- The interrogative sentence: Had you done your home work?
- The negative sentence: I hadn’t done my home work.
- Read and compare.
The pupil on duty had dusted the desks before the lessons began.
We hadn’t finished this work by 6 o’clock.
After he had finished the book, he went to the library.
I hadn’t seen my friend before I came to school.
He had finished his work by 4 o’clock.
Had he finished his work by 6 o’clock?

We’ll play the game “Fulfill the order”. You must fulfill your friend’s orders and then say what you have done and other students must say what you did some minutes ago.
