Countable and Uncountable Nouns

  1. We need a teapot and cups.

Teapot, cup сөздерінің көпше түрлері бар. Олар саналатын (Countable)зат есімдер.

  1. We need a some tea and some milk.

Tea, milk сөздерінің көпше түрлері жоқ. Олар саналмайтын (Uncountable) зат есімдер.

Мысалы: One teapot, one cup саналатын зат есімдер. Саналмайтын зат есімдер туралы айтқанда сандар қолданылмайды. Бірақ қанша сүт бар екенін айту үшін біз саналатын зат есім мен –of ты қолданамыз.

Мысалы: two bottles of milk.

Plural nouns end in -s or –es. They are countable. Some nouns don’t have plural form. They are uncountable.
